Short But Sweet

So guess what I just did? I went and tried to hook up my DVD/VCR by myself. I figured I hooked up my computer okay, how hard could a DVD/VCR player be, right? HA! After tackling it for a while, now my TV, Playstation, DVD/VCR and for some unknown reason my stereo won't work. I mean my TV won't even turn on! Ah! Cubby just bit me. Not hard, he was playing and he got a bit too excited.
Okay, I think that's really all I have to say right now.
Boy that was interesting wasn't it?

Before I Leave For Houston...

This will probably be my last post until I get back from Texas. I leave on Friday, but tomorrow I have to finish getting ready and all that fun stuff. If I can get to a computer during my trip I'll try and post something, but I'm not counting on it.
Today has been a good day. Except for the crappy snow. I hate snow. Sure it's pretty...At first. Then it turns all brown and slushy. And besides that, it's damn cold. And you have to scrap your car out from under it. And, well, it just sucks.
So I braved the snow and the terrible roads (where the hell where the salt trucks and plowers?) and met up with Kris at Steak and Shake. That's how much I wanted to see him. I risked my life. Ha ha. Not really, sorta I guess...The roads were that bad. But we sat and ate and talked for a while. It was a whole lot of fun. I miss him. Not getting to see him like I used to. And soon he's going to be moving for graduate school.
He told me he probably won't be able to take Gizmo. In case I haven't mentioned it I'm trying to find my kitties a new home (preferably together) for a number of reasons. The main one being that it is almost definite that I'm moving back in with my parents. Also for a number of reasons. My main reason is to get my grades back up. There's is because I can't keep my apartment clean to their specifications. Anywho...There's not much I can do about it. So if you want a couple of really sweet cats, or you know someone who does just let me know.
Anyway, what else? Um. I've been cleaning my apartment today very slowly. It'll probably take most of the night 'cause I have to take breaks every so often or I go insane. It wouldn't take me that long if I had started earlier, but I procrastinate so you know.
Well, I should get back to cleaning...I doubt I will right away, but the point is I should.

"Unexpected" News

OH MY GOD!! Rarely do I use all caps, but this information deserves it. As you all know my friend Kim is getting married to her boyfriend Shane. Well, a few days ago I think I found out the reason they're getting hitched so quickly. Ready for this? I bet you've guessed it already, but in case you haven't, here it is:

Kim is PREGNANT!!

Okay, why is that such big news? Well, besides the obvious Kim and Shane are still in college. And they pretty much have no money. Need an example? Shane had to borrow money from Kim's mom to buy Kim's wedding ring. Wow. If that doesn't give you an insight, I don't know what would.
So, she's due in July and we don't know if it's a girl or boy yet. I asked her what she wanted (a boy or a girl) and she replied, "I want a baby." And Shane's response to all of this? "It'll be fun!" Hum...
In other news, I'm leaving for Texas in a few days. I'm looking forward to that, of course. Emily, Jerry and Aubrey are picking me up from the airport and then it's off to the mall where Aubrey and I are getting our picture taken with Santa. Oh, did I mention that Aubrey will be wearing his Elton John Halloween costume? How cute will that be!
I'm (hopefully) going to see Kris on Wednesday. I say hopefully because it's supposed to snow pretty bad and I have a feeling Kris will cancel if it gets real bad. I want to give him his Christmas present.
Um, not much else is going on right now. I'm just getting over the shock of Kim having a baby. If you knew Kim you'd understand.
