Home Again, Home Again
Well, I'm back from Texas. I actually got back yesterday, but I stayed the night at my parents, so I didn't really have time to post anything.
I'm not going to go into huge detail on my trip, 'cause then the post would be absolutely huge. But I will tell you a bit.
First of all, Aubrey loves me! By the end of the trip he was calling me his Tracy and would scream if I left the room. It was actually kind of annoying.
I guess I'll go through the trip day by day.
I got there Christmas Eve and we went to Emily's mother and father in law's house (Nancy and Billy). We (meaning Emily, Jerry, Aubrey, Nancy, Billy, and Joel [Jerry's brother]) opened presents and had cake and stuff. Aubrey got a tone of stuff. For one thing he got a My First Leap Pad and (get this) a Sponge Bob toilet seat cover (in theory, according to Nancy, it will help potty train Aubrey.) Then Aubrey and I cleaned up all the wrapping paper and we ate some.
Saturday was Christmas and Jerry spent most of the day cooking a briskit. But first Emily, Jerry, Aubrey and I opened presents. Aubrey got another tone of presents including a Care Bear Cousin, some Gak (we took that away from him!), a Fisher Price Resuce Hero and some play tools (from my mom and dad.) I got him High Ho Cherry'O, which he hasn't played yet, but Emily was planning on buying it for him eventually anyway, so I figured it was a good toy. Then Emily's family came over (mom: Janet; dad: Bill; brothers: Corey and Steven) and then Jerry's family came over and we opened more presents and ate...ALOT! Oh. I forgot to tell you what I got. I got a new wallet from Emily and Jerry (and Aubrey I guess), I got some bath foam and lotion from Corey and Steven and I got a board game from Bill and Janet. I gave Emily and picture I made of Elton John and she loved it so much, it was kind of embarrassing.
The next day was Sunday and Emily and I went shopping while Jerry and Aubrey stayed home. We went looking for (among other things) birthday presents for the boys whose birthdays are in late December (Jerry) and early January (Aubrey). So that was fun. And then that night Emily and I got our hair cut by Janet.
Monday through Wednesday Emily, Aubrey and I went to Natchez, Mississippi to visit her Maw maw and Paw paw (her grandparents) That was an interesting trip. Very southern for one thing. And for another they kinda lived off the side of the highway. We didn't do too much while we were there. Emily Aunt and Uncle and there kid Kimberly came by too, as well as Emily cousin Melissa Ann.
Wednesday we went back to Baytown and Emily and I played Trivial Pursuit and made a video to send to Oprah.
Then Thursday Emily, Aubrey and I went to Space Center Houston...Which has in it this thing that's like the play places at McDonalds only it's like 3 stories tall. And get this...Aubrey and I went inside and crawled around. It was fun, but I got tired very fast. And now I have bruises on my knees.
Well, that's really a rundown of my trip...Maybe I'll get more detailed later, but I don't feel like typing anymore right now.
