What If We Held A Workshop And No One Showed Up?

I'd like to give a shout out to Kim for putting the fabulous links on my side bar. Thank you, thank you thank you!!
Now, something that pissed me off today. The GCP was supposed to have a workshop today at Henie Brothers (it's a coffee shop). The last time we scheduled a workshop I was the only on who showed up. And today, I was the only one who showed up again! So I'm a bit pissed.
Here's the email I sent to everyone:

I don't believe it. It happened again. Am I out of the loop or something? Why was I the only one at the "workshop" today?I'm getting tired of caring, you guys. It's one thing for it to happen once, but twice? I thought we went over what to do if you couldn't show up. Sarah already told us she couldn't make it, and John emailed the listserv...Kathleen called me this morning...But what about everyone else? I'm trying not to get too angry, but I had other things I could have been doing you knew you weren't going to be at the workshop you should have emailed the list serve before today. Give everybody some time to see the email. I got John and Sarah's emails after I got home and they both knew they weren't going to be there. I emailed everybody as soon as I knew I couldn't be at bean street.I joined the GCP to make friends and have fun and do stuff, not to be the only one to show up at events.Okay, I think I'm done ranting.

I could have been a lot nastier...But I decided to hold back a little.
I really don't have anything else to say right now. I'm just angry and frustrated.

Jpegs suck

This will be a short rant.

My computer won't let me download pictures as jpeg files. It's pissing me off 'cause I don't know how to fix it, and everyone who might know what to do is busy and not answering their phones. So, that means I can't post any pictures on my blog. Okay I'm done. If anyone has any easy ideas you can post them in comments.
Thanks

It Makes Me Want To Scream

Yesterday at work was so incredibly frustrating. For one thing, I got paid, but I only got paid for one day of work 'cause I didn't work on Saturday. So the grand total of my paycheck was, drum roll pleas, $28.29. Whoo. Big fucking check. I was so pissed. So, now I have to ask my parents for some money. Damn it.
Then, this old woman came through my line and her total for her groceries was $10.99. So first she handed me a 5 and 3 ones. I corrected her, and she handed me a 10 dollar bill. And nothing else. So I told her .99 cents! Trying to talk loudly, but can't cause of my voice. So she pulls out her change purse and begins placing coins on the counter. A quarter, a few dimes, a nickel and a bunch of pennies. "Is that enough?" she said. And I said, no I need 99 cents that's only 71 cents. She said, "Oh" and then pulled out more pennies. I said, "Do you have a dollar bill?" which I knew she did 'cause I saw them in her wallet earlier. But either she didn't hear me or didn't care 'cause she didn't do anything. So then she puts all the pennies away and pulls out 2 dimes. "Is that right?" "I need 8 more cents." So she pulls out about 5 pennies and then starts pulling out dimes. And I say to her, "That's a dime. I need 3 pennies." That happened about 3 times. Then she gave me 2 pennies and stood there. And I said, "I need one more penny." And she pulled it out and gave it to me. Oh my fucking god! That took way to long. Especially when there was a line of people behind her!
Okay, then there was the lady who thought lemons were limes and I had to correct her.
Then there was the guy who wanted to by at lest 25 5lb things of ground beef 'cause they're on sale.
I swear I wanted to scream by the time the night was over.
Then I call my dad asking for some money and I get a lecture about how I need to be more careful with my money.
Then I go home and see there's this "boil water" advisory sign posted outside the apartment complex. So I go back out to buy some bottled water.
I just had a very frustrating day!

Sarah vs Sara

Hello all.
Today seems like it will be a good day (knock on wood). My voice is getting better, so I'll be able to go to work today. Yeah! Also, it's not that cold out so I got to wear sandals! Yeah! Not to work, of course...You know what I mean.
I ran into Sara on the bus this morning. Not SARAH with an "h", but SARA (notice there is no "h") an old friend I've known since kindergarten. We live in the same apartment complex, yet we never see each other. It's kinda sad really. But she's doing good and all so that's good.
The garbage disposal guy came. Yeah! So tonight (depending on what time I get off work) I need to clean out my sink. I wish I had more to say...Kim's trying to add some links to my sidebar 'cause, like I said, I'm computer illiterate. But that's really about it.
Well, since I'm going to work tonight I won't be able to go to Bean Street to here my fellow GCPers read :O( But at least I'm going to get paid!
Well, I guess that's it. I'll see you all after I get off work!

It's Hard To Trip A Cat

First of all, I want to give a shot out to Kathleen! I found out tonight that she reads my blog almost religiously....Which makes her totally awesome and cool. So, hello Kathleen!!
Oh, I found out something really funny tonight at GCP. I don' t know if you remember that horrible story that I had to read for the Halloween contest. Well, I found out that it was Kathleen who wrote it! She wrote it like super fast because we weren't getting in any submissions and she felt bad that I wasn't going to have anything to read. So she made up this crap story (she says herself it was a crap story) real quick to give me something else to read. Tonight before the meeting I was complaining about the story and then Kathleen said, "you wanna know something funny? I wrote that!" I about died laughing! We both did really.
I just tried to trip my cat Cubby, but it's hard to trip an animal with four legs.
Not too much else to say right now...So until next time

Cold Soup

Boy! Was it hard to get a computer today! Everybody's trying to get on to work out the schedules. I still need to meet with an advisor...I'll have to do that tomorrow I guess before I go to work.
I haven't done much today. I've mostly been walking around trying to get shit done on the computer, but not able to get one.
I have absolutely NO money (again). So I brought soup with me for lunch and dinner. It took me 4 tries and 2 microwaves to get my soup to heat up! And then, when it was heated, it didn't taste that good. I ate about half of it and threw the rest away 'cause it was yucky.
Tonight's my GCP meeting. For those of you who don't know, GCP (Giles Corey Press) is the Literary magazine here on campus and I'm a member of it :O) The meeting should be interesting tonight since I still can't talk. It's gotten slightly better though. So that's good I guess. But my mom still made me an appointment with the doctor for Friday. She had to call them 'cause they wouldn't be able to hear me over the phone! "It's a sad, sad, situation...And it's getting more and more absurd." That about sums it up!
Well, that's all for now I guess. I'll be back though, I'm sure, later tonight since I'll be here until 8:30!

An Old Enemy

Just woke up from a nap. ::Yawn:: I was tired.
Had dinner with my mom...She had most of her voice back so it wasn't that bad.
Oh, so yeah. Around 4:00 I decided to call Kris to see what the hell was going on. And the first thing he said when he answered the phone, after he knew it was me was, "Crap! I forgot to stop by!" Yeah, so Kris forgot about me :O( I'm really not that upset over it actually. I had a feeling I wasn't going to see him.
Oh, this is an interesting little story. I had an "enemy" in high school named Emily D. It was apparently her job (along with some of her friends) to make my life at school hell. Well, I ran into her today in the library on campus. I was about the get on this computer she was standing next to when she said, "No, you're not serious? Can I just print this real quick?" She had no idea who I was, which I found funny. So, I said, "Sure." in my whisper and let her print. I was nice to her! Boy if she only knew, huh?
Can't think of anything else for now....So, later!

It's Getting Hot In Here...

Well, I'm home now. Haven't heard from Kris yet. He said he'd call me when he was on his way over.
It is so fucking hot in my apartment right now. I think they've turned the heat on, and even though I've turned it off it's almost 80 degrees in here. Blah.
The garbage disposule guy didn't come today either. You see my garbage disposul is broken and I told them yesterday, and she said she'd send someone "right over". Right, I'll believe it when I see it. And of course I haven't seen it.
I might go out to eat with my mom tonight. That'll be interesting since she's lost her voice too and in a crowded resteraunt it'll be hard to hear. We'll see how that goes.
Oh! Funny story time! It's actually more of a gross story, but whatever. In my politics class today, I looked across the isle at the guy sitting next to me, and his hand was jamed down in him pants. He was either scrathching his balls or jerking off...either one shouldn't be done in school I might add.
I also saw a guy on campus today feeding the squirls. I thought it was cute.
Okay, I'm going to go make myself some lunch.

Not Too Bad

It's still early this morning...so things can get better. I have a feeling though that Kris is going to cancel on me again. No, it's not raining...but I still can't talk. My voice is barely a whisper now. I don't know if he'll want to come over if he can't hear me talk. Oh well.
But yeah, it's not raining right now, so I'm happy about that. I'm not happy that the stupid shift key on this computer is a bitch to push down. It's hurting my pinky!
I got a crap parking space today too. At least it's not as bad as yesterdays...Yesterday I had to park by the latrines. :OP Yuck! Today I just had to park in the second half of the main parking lot...but with the weather not too bad it wasn't that bad of a walk to the bus.
I woke up last night at 3:00 in the morning and wasn't tired, but I managed to fall back asleep and then struggled to get myself out of bed at 9.
Oh, here's something interesting: Emily's thinking of going to nursing school! Pretty cool eh? I thought so.
Well, this whole shift key thing is pissing me off and I think I pulled a muscle in my pinky with that sentence alone. So, I'll be going for now.

Rainy and Wet

So, today was a completely sucky day. For one I still have no voice...In fact it's worse than yesterday. Then it's been raining all the damn day--no joke. Then Kris called and canceled on me 'cause he doesn't like to drive in the rain. But that's okay, I knew it was coming as soon as I saw the raindrops on my window. But we rescheduled for tomorrow...So it's all good.
I didn't go to my second class today. My pants were wet up to my knees from the rain (I mean it was pouring) so I decided fuck it, I'm going home and get warm. Now, they've turned the heat on in my apartment, and while I don't have it on it's nearly 80 degrees in here and I'm burning! Anyway, the rest of the day I spent surfing the net searching for a blog site that doesn't have bandwidth and that I can understand, since I am pretty computer illiterate. I came from another blog, but my bandwidth was exceeded and now you can't get on it...So I decided to pack up and move. Only sad thing is I can't tell any of my readers (I must have some if my bandwidth was exceeded) that I've moved until the end of the month when I have more bandwidth. ::sigh:: So, that was my day...I almost typed "my dad" that would not have made much sense...Anyway...I'm done for tonight. I'm tired!

One More Try

Okay...This is going to be short. This is going to just be a test to see if the damn thing works (I've been having issues)
Okay...I might be back later tonight!
